Oh my goshhhh! Gavin & Lynsey’s Acre Baja wedding in San Jose del Cabo had me pinching myself and saying, “How is this even real?!” First of all, these two are simply the coolest. Ever since their engagement session (which you can see here), they’ve been one of those couples that’s made me feel like I’ve known them for years. And their friends and families welcomed us just the same. I couldn’t have picked a chiller, more fun group of people to hang out with for a couple days in this Mexican paradise.
Now, let’s talk about this venue! Acre Baja is a hidden oasis tucked in the foothills of San Jose del Cabo. The 25-acres of tropical greenery boasts rad treehouses, organic farm-to-table fare, artisan details, a sanctuary of rescue puppies, and more! It’s been major goals of mine to shoot here, and honestly, photos can’t even do it justice. It just feels like a dream when you’re here.
The couple got ready in separate treehouses tucked in the jungle of palm trees and lush foliage. The morning was so relaxed and drenched with gorgeous natural light. At the ceremony site, guests were imbibing craft cocktails and mingling with peacocks. Afterwards, we had an absolute blast shooting photos all throughout the venue. This space is a photographer’s wet dream… The contemporary concrete architecture, the stylish tile-work, the hidden pathways through forests of palms – all of it is so dreamy. Even Burrito, the venue’s Instagram famous rescue donkey, made a special appearance for some photos. The party moved from the incredible pool area surrounded by cacti and swanky tiles, to the whimsical mango grove strung up with twinkle lights. Everything about their party was absolutely perfect. And I’m so honored I was able to be a part of it!
Gavin & Lynsey, you two are incredible and absolutely meant for each other. And I wish you a lifetime of laughter, happy tears, and rad parties. Now move to the West Coast so we can be friends! 😉Song: Fever – Roosevelt
